MSW, Ph.D. Candidate
This page will represent my professional expertise, research, thoughts, and opinions related to social science, but more importantly, social science in an extraordinary time of multidisciplinary crises. Such crises range from overdose deaths, declining quality of life, rising forms of right-wing illiberalism, commodified systems, pandemics, and myriad other disasters led by human ecological destruction, extractive logics, and the extraordinary rapaciousness of the endstage neoliberal political economy.
However, all is not doom and gloom. The extraordinariness of our times – facing economic disparity, gross inequities, and ecological extinction are, indeed, serious matters – historically, it is moments of human crises which have created the conditions of human revolution, ingenuity, and adaption which has allowed for the species to endure as it has.
Thus, as a social scientist, one of my main tasks is to seek out, explore, explain, define, and support the elements of hope and radical change that may emerge within our various long-term crises. This task will be accomplished primarily through my professional work and my personal and theoretical explorations and, therefore, will be represented here as formal and informal explorations.

One response to “An Introduction of Sorts”
Incredible introduction! We haven’t had one of our legendary social science nerd-outs in awhile! Give me a call soon, my friend! Would love to have the freedom to write together within a blog environment like this, as opposed to having the constraints of writing for money or career development. Let’s write our way into having a subject to explore without the deadline of having to reach a particular destination….. This is part of the beauty of the process of interdisciplinary social science— voices at the table having a conversation— learning the languages of other disciplines and finding the lingua franca within which to explore those spaces!
